Dazed & Confused

Named after the song by Led Zeppelin, this artwork was featured on the label design of one of my Hopsylvania beers. This concept was created in spring when nature was in full bloom and lilacs were blossoming all throughout the city, so I couldn’t help but be inspired by the beauty and fragrance of these flowers. Seduced by their permeating scent, it made me contemplate how moths must also be lured by that bouquet. Moths and butterflies have always been a subject of fascination for me ever since a young age, so much so that I was even collecting and studying them for awhile. Nevertheless, dazed and confused as they might’ve been, it was surely a more welcoming seduction than their classically tragic attraction to flames.
