Eyes Of Emerald

Named after the song by Roadkill Soda, this artwork was featured on the label design of one of my Hopsylvania beers. Ever since I was a child I’ve always been fascinated by mushrooms, by their many varieties and most of all by their otherworldly shapes. While listening to Paul Stamets in a few long-format interviews, this fascination has only increased, especially when hearing about the benefits that mushrooms can bring to major environmental issues such as the threatened bee population. Pair that with a long term affinity for forest wildlife and ecosystems in general, and something naturally surfaced that was worth illustrating.
